Patricia Ann Rowley

Patricia Ann Rowley, 89 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Medilodge of Gaylord.

Born July 4, 1933, in Brighton, Michigan, she was the daughter of Harold and Lucille (Craig) Roush.  She spent her childhood in Brighton where she was a 1951 graduate of Brighton High School.

On November 23, 1955, Patricia and Carl C. Rowley were married in Freemont, Ohio.  In 1956 they moved to Novi, then to West Bloomfield in 1967.  Carl preceded her in death on August 25, 1995.  After also living for a time in South Lyon, Patricia moved to Gaylord in 1999.

Patricia was a homemaker and stay at home mom when her two sons were younger, and later worked for Kmart and Standard Register. 

Always active and athletic, she enjoyed playing golf, softball, and skiing.  When their sons were young, both Patricia and Carl were very involved in their athletic and other activities.  She also enjoyed traveling, which included winter trips to Florida, and in her later years, she enjoyed painting.  She was always outgoing and sociable, she enjoyed a good time, and she loved being involved with all of her family, including her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Gail) Rowley of Warren and Robert (Leslie) Rowley of Vanderbilt; grandchildren, Laura (Chas Parmer) Rowley and Ryan Rowley; great grandchildren, Connor and Claire; several bonus grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma and Jane; and brothers, Robert, Harold and Jack.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery in West Bloomfield Township at 12:00 noon Monday, May 8, 2023, where she will be interred next to her husband, Carl.
