Peggy Leigh Miller-Roosa, age 76, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 13, 2026, at August Haus Assisted Living. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, a family who loved her dearly, and countless reminders of the love and kindness she shared with those around her.
Peggy was born on March 13, 1950, in Rockford, Michigan, to John and Opal Roosa. She graduated from Rockford High School in 1968, went on to attended Ferris State University and married Harold Miller on September 29, 1973, in Grand Rapids. Together, Peggy and Harold built a life and raised their two sons, Paul and Brian, in Gaylord, Michigan.
Throughout her working years, Peggy worked in the banking and food service industries, including Gaylord Community Schools. She was a hardworking woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures and, above all, in the time she spent with her family.
Peggy had a special place in her heart for animals and dearly loved her pets. She enjoyed fishing with her family and creating memories together. She was also known for baking cookies for her grandchildren's sporting events, a sweet and thoughtful way of showing her love and support. Peggy had a particular fondness for desserts and enjoyed the simple happiness that a favorite sweet treat could bring. Her grandchildren, Owen Miller, Braleigh Miller, Finley Miller, and Bela Miller, brought her great joy, and she treasured the time she spent with each of them.
Peggy's love was often found in the little things: a batch of homemade cookies, a family fishing trip, time spent together, or the companionship of a beloved pet. These moments, filled with warmth and affection, are the memories her family will carry in their hearts.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Miller; her brother, David Roosa; and her parents, John and Opal Roosa.
She is survived by her sister, Deanna Greene (Carl), of Mount Dora, Florida; her son, Paul Miller (Leslie), of Salt Lake City, Utah; her son, Brian Miller (Sam), of Gaylord, Michigan; her four beloved grandchildren, Owen, Braleigh, Finley, and Bela; and her faithful dog, Margret.
Peggy will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the kindness she shared will live on for generations to come.
