Peter K. Loepke

Peter K. Loepke,  80, of Harbor Springs, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Born in Lansing on January 18, 1939, Pete was the son of Edward and Lucille (Lakin) Loepke.

Pete graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in 1957. Upon graduation, he attended Lansing Community College and earned his associate degree in criminal justice. After 25 years Pete retired from the Lansing Police Department as a Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda; children, Rick, Greg, Deb, Tom and Lisa; grandchildren, Shane, Cody, Renee, Rylie and Jake; great-grandchildren, Ruby and Braydyn; his very close friend, John Hemstreet and  his God Child, Kristen Wren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will take place 3:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2019 at Harbor Springs First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice, Petoskey.
