Randall K. Wilhelm

Randy Wilhelm, of Cheboygan and formerly of Saginaw, passed away on December 18, 2025 at the age of 82. He was born August 5, 1943. He was a cherished husband of 59 years, a devoted father, and a loyal friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born and raised in Saginaw, Randy graduated from Arthur Hill High School and was a proud Army veteran. He dedicated 44 years of his life as a Pattern Maker at General Motors Malleable Iron Plant before enjoying a well-deserved retirement. He approached his work with dedication, a trait he carried into all aspects of his life.

Randy’s greatest joys were found in the simple moments spent with his beloved family and friends. He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying softball in his younger days, camping with his family, and his annual hunting trip with his friends and son. He also was a lifetime member at the Saginaw Field and Stream Club. His camaraderie extended to his memberships in the American Legion, Eagles Club, and Moose Club where he valued the fellowship and community spirit. He served as vice chair of the UAW Anchemco Retirees Council in Gaylord and on the board of the Tahquamenon Area Credit Union.

Randy will be remembered for his kind heart, his enduring sense of humor, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy lives on in the memories we shared, the stories we tell, and the love he instilled in our hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, his children, Kathy (Travis) Pomranky and Dan (Tina) Wilhelm, his grandchildren, Ashley (Zachary) Miller and Alyssa Pomranky, and a host of family and friends.
