Richard H. Kline III

Richard Harold Kline III, age 70, born February 9, 1956 passed peacefully at home holding Rhonda's hand on the morning of September 3, 2026. Born to Richard Harold Kline Jr and Charlotte Jane Ingram in Detroit, Michigan, Rick was proceeded in death by his parents and adored aunt Lucille Ingram.

Rick leaves behind his charismatic brother Lewis and his wife Christine with beloved nephew Wolfgang. Rick also leaves behind "the love of his life" Rhonda, who enhanced and deepened his values of love, faith, and family devotion for their many years together.

As the patriarch of four generation, Rick's greatest achievement was creating a family united by love, respect, and shared traditions. His gentle wisdom and storytelling talents will preserve family history and values for generations to come.

His greatest honor was being a father to all of his children, Adam Richard (Jill), Trevor (Samantha), Logan (Celsey), Jessica (Alan), John (Savanah), Steve (Amber), Kyle (Julie), Suzanne (Corinna), and Amanda.

His greatest joy was spending time with his many grandchildren, Papa claimed they could do NO wrong. They include his very special Keely, his clone Cooper and "Peanut", Tristen Richard, Lillian, Regan, Sean, Marley, Wyatt, Dakota, Vincent, Ivan, Matilda and the apple of his eye his, great granddaughter Mavis.

Rick had the ability to forge deep connections with anyone he met, his dearest lifelong friendship with sailing mates George and Greg can attest to this. His love for boats, sailing, skiing, camping, reading, and anything to do with cars will be part of his legacy.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at St Matthew's Catholic Church.
1303 Boyne Avenue, Boyne City, MI 49712. Family and Friends will have visitation beginning at 10:00 AM with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.

Rhonda and the children will be hosting family and friends at their home after the service. Rick was adamant about no flowers or plants.
