Riley Henry “Randall” Davidson, 71 of Vanderbilt, died at Otsego Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 23, 2014. Born in Hayti, Missouri on July 7, 1942, Riley was the son of Henry and Savannah (Dye) Davidson. His family moved to Lincoln Park when Riley was young.

Riley served in the U.S. Army during 1960-1961. He worked for many years in line clearance as a tree trimmer retiring in 2004.

On February 13, 1981 Riley married Robin (Collins) Bogoski. In 1985 they moved from Lincoln Park to their Vanderbilt home.

Riley was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and bird watching. He loved his dogs and he looked forward to mushroom season each year.

Riley is survived by Robin, his wife of 33 years; his daughters, Vicki “Missy” (Brian) McDuffie of Gaylord, Heather Nunnally and Kimberly Wise; his sons, Scott (Jennifer) Bogoski of Kentwood, Eric Davidson and Randy Davidson; 15 grandchildren; sisters, Karen (Jim) Cornelius of Florida and Donna (Ed) Williams of Loveland, CO; brothers, Larry (Diane) Davidson of Jackson, Tim (Pam) Davidson of Dearborn Heights and Bob (Roz) Davidson of St. Clair Shores and a brother–in-law, Al Vanameyde of Rockwood, MI. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Vanameyde.

Riley’s family will visit with friends from 1:00-7:00 PM on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Ave. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Mount Hope Church, 1672 East M-32 with Pastor Norm Oberlin officiating. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Otsego County Animal Shelter. Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Ave.
