Robert H. Fox

Robert H. Fox, 80 of Gaylord, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at home.  Born August 11, 1942, in Standish, Michigan, he was the son of LeRoy and Lorraine Fox.

A longtime resident of Saginaw, Bob retired from General Motors before he and his wife, Linda, moved to Gaylord, where he had a second career working in grounds maintenance at Treetops Resort.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman; he especially enjoyed hunting, lawn maintenance and snow removal. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda, whom he married on September 11, 1993; daughters, Vikki Simpson of Saginaw and Kris Fox of Hemlock; a step son, Kristopher Hansen of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren, Marisa (Jamison) Ferritto, Taylor Simpson, Jeremy Simpson, Andrew Simpson, and Alison Simpson all of Freeland; a great granddaughter, Avery Ferritto; a brother, Albert Fox of Bay City; a niece, Tammy (Charlie) Kohler of Saginaw; his mother-in-law, Agnes Bush of Saginaw; brothers-in-law, Ken (Gwen) Bush of Freeland and Anthony Bush of Las Vegas, NV; and a very special friend, Joyce Smith of Chesterfield, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert R. Fox; a granddaughter, Riley Stockford; a brother, Earl Fox; a sister, Marlene Helmreich; a stepson, Jonathan Pepera; and his father-in-law, Orville Bush.

Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Northland Sportsmen’s Club in Gaylord or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held in the spring.
