Robert K. Grennan

Robert "Bob" Kenneth Grennan, 66, passed away on August 19, 2025, in Cheboygan, MI. He was the beloved husband of 41 years to Laura (Schiller) Grennan. Bob was born on December 23, 1958, in Bristol, CT, to the late Paul Francis Grennan and Maria Rose (Gaudino) Grennan.

Bob lived a short life with a full heart. At 19, Bob moved to Boston to study accounting at Northeastern University, where he also acquired self-proclaimed culinary mastery as a line cook. After graduating, he moved to Houston to work as an accountant, where he met and married his wife, Laura. Bob and Laura moved back to Connecticut to start their family. Amid raising his first daughter Tori, with Laura's ample support, Bob attended night school at the University of Connecticut School of Law. In law, Bob found a vocation for his inquisitive and stubborn nature, resulting in a storied career as an attorney in surety and fidelity. Through the ensuing decades, Bob flourished as a father and adopted the titles of nail artist, hair stylist, soccer coach, swim referee, Irish dance partner, and many more. His love for Laura and his girls was only rivaled by his life-long love of golf. Even as Bob endured his increasing ailments, he always looked forward to playing his next round on the links with anyone willing. Bob is now living his best life, with a club in one hand and a cigar in the other.

Bob is survived by his wife, Laura (Schiller) Grennan of Cheboygan; his daughters and cherished sons-in-law Tori and Mark of Grand Rapids, and Jaime and Brenton of Winthrop; and his brother Paul G. Grennan and his wife Patricia of Tolland. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October, 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Windham Golf Course, 184 Club Road, North Windham, CT 06256.
