Robert L. Sharrow

Robert “Bob” Sharrow, 82 of Charlevoix, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 28, 2023.

Bob was born on October 12, 1941, in Charlevoix, to George and Mary Sharrow. He graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1960. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, where he met his wife Babs, of 58 years.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent the last 20 plus years as a snowbird in Florida, spending lots of time fishing on the Gulf of Mexico. Bob also loved sport shooting and competed in many competitions. Rock hunting was another past time of his. He would spend hours at the lake searching for Petoskey Stones, creating beautiful art with them.

Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Babs; sons, Wayne Sharrow and Robert (Didi) Sharrow all of Charlevoix; grandchildren, Nicole Sharrow of Boyne City, Casey Sharrow of Seattle, WA. and Jake (Grace) Sharrow of Charlevoix; great-granddaughter, Nora Sharrow of Boyne City.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Sharrow; sisters, Donna Stoneham and Barb Kane.

At Bob’s request, the family will remember him privately. Please share your memories and personal messages with the family on his guestbook below.
