Robin M. Edmonds

Robin M. (Sykes) Edmonds, 67 passed away Sunday evening, January 15, 2023.

Robin was born October 30, 1955, in Ionia, the daughter of Morse and Marjorie (Hansen) Sykes. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1973. She graduated from Ferris State University in 1975.

Robin loved the outdoors, and especially fishing, a love she shared with Richard after they met.  She also enjoyed skiing, playing golf and watching sports, especially football, on television.  Her greatest passion and joy were her daughters and her grandchildren.

Robin married Richard L. Edmonds on November 22, 1975. Robin is loved and survived by her husband Richard and their daughters Rori (Patrick) Hornacek and Mallory (John) Simonis; her granddaughters Rebecca Hornacek, Rachael Hornacek and Diana Simonis and her siblings Stewart (Janet) Sykes and Brad (Janice) Sykes. Robin was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will visit with friends from 4:30-6:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 850 N. Center Avenue, Gaylord, Michigan.  A private graveside service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, MI 49012. 

In lieu of flowers Robin requested that donations be made to The Alvah N. Belding Library (302 E. Main Street, Belding, Michigan 48809) or to Veterans Education, Training & Support, Inc a Veterans non-profit serving Veterans and Veterans Organizations in Northern Michigan (P.O. Box 1063, Gaylord, Michigan 49734)
