Roger Loe

Roger Loe, 75 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey. Born February 25, 1948, in Wabash, Indiana, he was the son of Omar and Elizabeth (Broadbeck) Loe.

In 1971, Roger proudly obtained his bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University. On October 14, 1978, in Gaylord, Roger married the love of his life, Valerie Fox. He enjoyed boating, spending time with his family and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Valerie. Also surviving are his children, Karen (Michael) Bushell of Southgate and step-son, Thomas Nickerson of Gaylord; loving grandchildren, T.J., Nathan, Courtney, Christian, Khloe and Emma; siblings, Linda (Dave) Hamilton, Andrew (Dorothy) Loe and Michael Loe and his brother-in-law, Dan Kassuba.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Omar and Betty Loe; and his sister, Patricia Kassuba.

A memorial service will take place 1:00 PM Monday, May 15, 2023, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00 AM.
