Ronald W. Lamkin

Ronald W. Lamkin, 81 of Roscommon, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Autumnwood of McBain in McBain, Michigan.

Born on April 12, 1937 in Ypsilanti, Ron was the son of Edgar F. and Jesse Kathryn (Kramer) Lamkin.

He grew up in Whittaker, Michigan where he lived for many years before moving to Roscommon.

Ron worked in maintenance at Eastern Michigan University most of his career.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and John Deere tractors, especially his 1944 model B.

Ron is survived by his longtime companion, Thelma Burns of Roscommon; his children, Steve (Holly) Lamkin, Teresa (Jeremy) Lamkin and Dee (John) Burns; grandchildren, Michael Lamkin, Laura Lamkin, Joshua Marvin, Justin Marvin, Nicholas Lamkin, Noah Fox, Jesse Fox, Taylor (Evan) Saxe, Grant Burns and Autumm (Jake Smith) Burns; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister, Lola Lung.   He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Marvin; a son, Randy Lamkin; a sister, Verna and brothers, Harley and Eldon.

A memorial gathering to remember Ron will be held in August.
