Roselin Elizabeth Hawley, 77 of Vanderbilt, died on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Tendercare of Gaylord. Born on November 18, 1935 on the family farm in Sparr, Roselin was the daughter of Ildefons and Rose (Matelski) Dipzinski. A lifelong resident of Sparr and Vanderbilt, she married Charles Hawley on April 16, 1955. Roselin worked at Hidden Valley in housekeeping for a time before going to work at Grant Air Mass in Vanderbilt where she worked until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, camping and crafts. Roselin loved her family, especially spending time with them at Christmas and at family reunions. She cherished her dog, Ralphie. She is survived by Charles, her husband of 58 years; daughters, Robin (David) Moore of Wolverine and Brenda (Tim) Cottrell of Vanderbilt; a son, Rusty Hawley of Vanderbilt; grandchildren, Jody (David) Zeilinger, Jessica Whitman, Victoria (Mark) Moore, Erika Moore, Ryan (Leslie) Cottrell, Megan Cottrell, Brad (Stacey) Cottrell, Dennis (Heather) Hawley and Rusty (Kelly Sue) Hawley Jr. and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Patricia Sides of Gaylord and Marion Butka of Berkley; brothers, Richard (Barb) Dipzinski of Bartlett, IL, Bernard Dipzinski of Ashland, OH, John Dipzinski of Wooster, OH, Benedict (Jane) Dipzinski of Ionia and numerous nieces and nephews. Roselin was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Lobsinger and brothers, Claude, Andrew, Leonard and Ildefonse “Ed” Dipzinski. Visitation at Gaylord Community Funeral Home, 850 North Center Ave. will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 PM where the St. Mary’s Altar Rosary Society will pray the Rosary at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Church in Vanderbilt. Interment will follow at Evergreen Hill Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the family through Gaylord Community Funeral Home, P.O. Box 249, Gaylord, MI 49734

Gaylord Community Funeral Home, 850 North Center Ave. will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 PM where the St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society will pray the Rosary at 6:00 PM.


Mass of Christian Burial :
11:00 AM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Church in Vanderbilt

Evergreen Hill Cemetery
