Rosemary Beachnau, age 89 of Gaylord, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. Rosemary was born to John J. and Florence (Fox) Hathaway on January 24th, 1934. She met her husband Richard in igh School, and they were married in 1954. Richard and Rosemary had seven children and were married for 63 years before Dick’s passing in 2017.
She was a dedicated Registered Nurse after graduating from St. Lawrence Nursing School in Lansing, Michigan. She immediately put her skills and talents to use, in lovingly mentoring young mothers, to ensure that their infants and toddlers thrived. She was an exceptionally skilled and compassionate nurse in caring for her patients. Rosemary continued her nursing career into her late 70’s.
Rosemary lived a beautiful life of unflinching service to everyone she knew. Her love for family and friends was relentless and unconditional. She made everyone she knew feel special. “Rosie” knew how to have a good time and was always up for an adventure. She loved to travel near or far to celebrate her grandchildren.
Rosemary was an authentic Christian woman possessing a strength of character not often found in this world. To be known by her was truly a blessing and a privilege.
Rosemary is survived by her seven children and their spouses. Mike (Joan), Pat (Carol), Brian (Barb), Mary (Bob) Johnson, Karen Robb, Greg (Chris), and Paul. Her eighteen grandchildren and twenty very special great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial take place 1:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2023, at St. Mary Cathedral where the family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00 AM. Our lady of Grace Circle will recite the Rosary at 12:15 PM.
A graveside service will take place 1:00 PM Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Resurrection Cemetery.
