Sally Irene Cherwinski

Sally Irene Cherwinski, 43, of Central Lake and formerly of Gaylord died on Saturday, August 11, 2012. She was born July 4, 1969 in Gaylord to Donald M. and Regina (Lewandowski) Cherwinski. She was a 1987 graduate of Gaylord High School. Sally worked for a number of employers throughout her life, working last at Crossroads Industries in Gaylord. She was a volunteer at Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. She so enjoyed the time she spent helping seniors. Sally was an avid baker and she was very artistic. Her family will remember her ability to create and give unique, handmade gifts. She was very loyal to, proud of and supportive of her family. She had a special love of animals. Sally was always proud to be born on the Fourth of July. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Michael and Mark Cherwinski. Surviving are her sisters, Marina (Dale) LaBelle of Gaylord, Laura (Richard) Berry of Vanderbilt and Julie (Michael) DeWitt of Gaylord; her brother, Edmund Cherwinski of Gaylord and her nieces and nephews, Jennifer LaBelle, Lucas LaBelle, Nathan M. Cherwinski, Elisha (Jeremy) Reynolds, Michael Fiel, Mark Fiel, Rebecca DeWitt, Grace Berry and Eric Berry. Memorial services for Sally will be held at the First Congregational Church of Gaylord, 219 W 2nd Street on Friday, August 17th at 10:00 a.m.; luncheon to follow at the Fellowship Hall. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Sally’s memory may be made to her family in lieu of flowers.
