Sandra Mae Soderberg

Sandra Soderberg, of Gaylord, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at the age of 83, at her son's home in Gaylord, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Sandra was born in 1942, in Engadine, Michigan to Russell and Jennie Mae Belleville. She was raised primarily in Naubinway, Michigan, along with her five sisters and brothers; Jerry, Marjean, Dennis, Patrice, and Victor. Shortly after graduating from high school, she married a Crystal Falls native, Jay Soderberg. Jay took a position teaching high school in Gaylord, Michigan, so they moved there and had three boys; Chris, Craig, and Clay. She quickly made many friends, and they started up a pinochle club that lasted into their golden years. Sandra had a long career at N'Orthopedics as a medical transcriptionist. She played organ for many, many years at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and also at the First Congregational Church. She was a very supportive mother to her three children, who all left Gaylord at young ages to pursue their careers. Although Sandra & Jay divorced in the mid-1980s, she took care of him until his untimely passing in 1996. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Sandra is deeply missed by those who knew her. We love you, Mom.
