Scott D. McCauley

Scott Douglas McCauley, 48, of Wolverine passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023.  Scott was born on March 24, 1975.

Scott leaves behind parents Lyle and Sharon McCauley, siblings Amanda McCauley, Nathan McCauley, Amy McCauley and Casey Hayes, nieces and nephews Wyatt McCauley, Luke Litzner, Emily McCauley, Patrick McCauley-Curtin, Morgan McCauley, Logan McCauley, Mason McCauley, Zadin Noeske, Clinton Ogden Jr, Corbin Ogden, Cooper Ogden, Ryder McCauley and Reed Hayes. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, as well as an abundance of friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents Lyle and Joyce McCauley, Lois McCauley and Frank and Barbara Lasik, and his sister Dana Litzner as well as some extended family and friends. 

 Scott grew up in Wolverine in a large family. He always enjoyed his time with family and friends and was often described as the life of the party. Scott was always very fascinated with how things worked. Growing up he often tore his siblings' beloved toys apart with the promise to “make it even better”. His avid curiosity led him to many interests and hobbies. Some of Scott’s favorite things included reading, music, TV and movies, cooking and trying new foods, singing karaoke, and driving fast. Scott loved laughing with his family and friends and had a smile that those who knew him will never forget. 

The funeral will be held on January 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Wolverine Methodist Church in Wolverine, Michigan.  All donations will be put toward Scott’s funeral and burial costs.  Please send checks payable to Sharon and send them to the Gaylord Community Funeral Home c/o Mc Cauley family, P.O.
