Sharon Lynn Passingham, 84 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital.
Born in Royal Oak, she was the daughter of Wilfred and Alice (Mason) Smith. Sharon graduated from Troy High School in 1959.
After living in the metro area for many years, Sharon moved to Gaylord from Royal Oak in 1988. She worked as a cosmetologist and a bank teller for many years. In Gaylord, she worked at K-Mart until the store closed in 2013.
Sharon loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, crocheting and traveling, sometimes taking trips by bus.
In 1963 Sharon and Frank Passingham were married. He preceded her in death in 1971. Surviving are her children, Wendi Ann Percha, and Matthew Allan Passingham, both of Gaylord; grandchildren, Katie McPartlin, Jessica McPartlin, and Daniel Passingham; great grandchildren, Kelsey and Connor Kucharek; sisters, Margart Cupp, Pat Pattee, and Judy Matthews; a brother, Charles (Terry) Smith; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Frankie Percha; and siblings William Smith, John Smith, Larry Smith, Richard Smith and Marilyn Smith.
The family will have a committal service at White Chapel in Troy where Sharon will be buried with her husband, Frank. A memorial service will take place in October.
