Sharon Lee Sackrider (Anderson), died Monday, October 16, 2023, in Gaylord, Michigan, A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

She was born in Attalla, Alabama, October 3, 1945 to Alice and Ray Anderson.  Her childhood home was Buffalo, NY

Sharon was a retired nurse with over 37 years of saving lives and hero to her special sons. Sharon worked at many hospitals in the Detroit area. Her greatest accomplishment was obtaining her nursing degree and a BA in case management all as a single mother. Sharon was proud of her family business, Anderson Custard. She treated the family many times with shipments of custard for special events.

After living in Detroit for several years she met her husband Fred in Wolverine and enjoyed all Northern Michigan had to offer including wild parties on Silver Lake with her girlfriends. She was an avid gardener and had a passion for drawing beautiful pictures. She loved entertaining and was an amazing cook. She was known for her blinking jewelry and dancing the night away with Fred. Sharon’s special pets, Bandit, Daisy, and Skipper were her spoiled fur babies.

Sharon’s husband, Freddie Sackrider predeceased Sharon in 2022.

She is also predeceased by a son, Frederic Sackrider and a brother, Roy Anderson.

Surviving are her children, James and William Doyle, Gloria (Greg) Smith, Tammy (Steve) Ralston, Trina (Richard) Belger, Doug (Sharon) Adamczyk, and Greg (Wendy) Adamczyk; grandchildren, Amber, Carrie, Steve III, Freddy Jr., Kelsey, Troy, Travis, Amanda, Stephanie, Jillian, Trevor, Kyle, Ashley, and Austin; many great grandchildren; a brother, Norman (Kathy) Anderson; a sister, Sandra Oshaughn; and a very special niece and best friend, April Sackrider.
