Shirley A. Brown

Shirley Ann Brown, 79, of Elmira passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Meadow Brook in Bellaire.

Shirley was born on March 22, 1947 to Haskell and Evelyn (Benz) Gaines.

She is survived by her daughter Dawn (Carl) Knouse and stepdaughter Marianne (George) Fingado; grandchildren, Charles Knouse, Heather Knouse, Trevor (Marcy) Knouse, Michael Fingado, Johnathan Fingado, and Julianne Fingado; and great-grandchildren, Payton, Lily, Paisley, Rocco, Rosalia, Renzo, and Mia. Also surviving are siblings Robert (Susie) Gaines, Gary (Kay) Gaines, and Carol (Marv) Owen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner. Her final resting place will be with Warner in Holly at the Great Lakes National Cemetery.
