Susan Jane Wiegman, a cherished soul, was born on December 21, 1946, in Portland, Michigan. She graced this world for over 78 years before passing away on July 20, 2025, at the Crawford Continuing Care Center. Susan's journey through life was one marked by love, care, and a warm spirit that touched the hearts of many.
In her early years, Susan graduated from high school, paving the way for a life dedicated to nurturing others. She was not just a waitress by career; she was the heart behind countless meals shared and memories created. Thanksgiving dinners at her home were legendary, highlighted by her exceptional skills as a cook and baker. Her culinary creations were more than just food; they were expressions of love and comfort that brought family and friends together, filling their hearts with warmth and joy.
Susan was a loving and caring individual who had a genuine passion for life. She found joy in the pages of books, an avid reader whose interests spanned from the National Inquirer to the romantic tales of Danielle Steel. Her love for literature was only rivaled by her affection for her beloved pets, who were cherished members of her family.
She leaves behind her two devoted sons, Larry Bennett (Sherry) and Thomas Bennett (Kendra) both of Dewitt. Also surviving Susan are numerous loving nieces, who will carry forth her memory, reflecting the kindness and compassion she imparted upon them.
Preceding Susan in death were her parents and her youngest son, Douglas, alongside many adored pets who filled her life with joy. Susan Jane Wiegman leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and culinary delight, forever etched in the hearts of those she touched. Her spirit will continue to live on through the countless memories shared and the love she so readily gave.
