Terry L. Tobias

Terry L. Tobias, 63 of Gaylord, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at home.

Born on May 8, 1953 in Flint, Terry was the son of Robert and Beverly (Robinson) Tobias.  He moved to Gaylord when he was five years old and was a 1971 graduate of Gaylord High School.  On January 13, 1979 he was married in Gaylord to Patricia E. Huff.

Terry was a licensed builder and was the owner of Terry Tobias Builders in Gaylord for many years.  He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf.  Terry enjoyed his 1961 Rambler Classic and his membership in the Rambler AMC Club. His priority though was his family; he enjoyed spending time with his wife, son and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Patsy of Gaylord; his son, Gregory Tobias of Gaylord; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Quinton; sisters, Cherie Pfeiffer of Colorado, Carol Tobias of Alaska, Maryann (Bill Martindale) Thomas of Johannesburg and Connie (John) Nelson of Gaylord, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; step fathers, Alfred O’Rourke and Alva Annis; and brothers, Jerry, Larry and Gary Tobias.

At his request, his family will remember him privately.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay or the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
