Theresa E. Mason

Theresa (Terri) E. Mason, 79 of Kennewick, WA, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Medilodge of Gaylord, Michigan.

Born in Seattle, WA on March 9, 1946, she was the daughter of Otto and Eileen (O’Keefe) Munson. Terri lived most of her life in the state of Washington.

Terri was a hardworking wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be remembered for a good sense of humor and for being a great cook.

Terri was a strong-willed woman who always fought through every challenge for her children, living with unwavering integrity and a clear sense of right and wrong. Though life often stacked obstacles against her, she always found her own way, and her greatest joy came from having family together and playing pinochle. She led by example in everything she did, never asking of others what she wasn’t willing to live out herself.

On July 5, 1974, Terri and Ron Mason married in Yakima, WA. Ron preceded Terri in death on June 3, 2012.

She is survived by her sons, Lonnie Butterfield of Anchorage, AK, Lennie (Elena) Butterfield of Las Vegas, NV, her daughter Laurie (Lane Campbell) Butterfield of Johannesburg, MI, son Larrie (Lori Grimes) Mason of Kennewick, WA and a bonus daughter Linda (Dan) Finley; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

The family has chosen to remember her privately.
