Obituary

Donna Elaine Moore, 68 of Alanson, passed away at home on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Born on September 10, 1952 in Cameron, Texas, she was the daughter of Monroe and Margaret (Hoffman) Freeman.  She grew up in the small community of Blue, Texas and also lived in Austin, Texas.

On September 30, 1983, Donna married her husband, Ronald Moore in Pflugerville, Texas.  In 1987 they moved to Alanson.

After moving to Michigan, Donna finished high school at Petoskey High School and later received her bachelors degree in business administration from Anthem College.

Donna worked for several years at Joann Fabrics and Crafts as a manager in Petoskey and Traverse City.  In her spare time she was an avid crafter; she especially enjoyed quilting, sewing and scrapbooking.  Donna also enjoyed cooking for her family and she treasured the time she could spend with them, especially her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by Ronald, her husband of 38 years; her children, Michelle (Randy) Easterly of Austin, TX, Albert (Peggy) Moore of Indian River and Victoria (Mat) Skaggs of Alanson; her sisters, Joyce (Kerry) Thackston of Wilmington, OH, Karen Menning of Beaufort, SC, and Aileen (C.E.) Boucher of Hewitt, TX; and 11 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Daily; her parents, Monroe and Margaret Freeman and a brother, Kenneth Freeman.

In keeping with her wishes, her family will remember privately.  Interment will take place at Ridgeway Cemetery in Paige, Texas.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
