Born in Tweed, Ontario on August 8, 1924, Glenna moved with her family to Detroit as a child, though she never forgot, and remained proud of her Canadian roots.

A graduate of Pershing High School and Detroit Business College, Glenna also attended the American Institute of Banking.  In 1981 she retired from a long career in the banking industry as the manager of Bond and Coupon Department of Detroit Bank & Trust, which is now Comerica Bank.

Glenna was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Petoskey where she also served as musician and later church secretary.  Her volunteer life kept her very busy as she was involved with Boy Scouts of America, Emmet County Friendship Centers, RSVP, Northern Michigan Hospital Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, Degree of Honor Protective Association and Red Hat Society.

She was the 1990 RSVP Volunteer of the Year award recipient as well as a past Volunteer of the Year winner from Northern Michigan Hospital and a Spirit of Service Award recipient from RSVP.

Glenna was preceded in death by her two husbands; and two sons, Philip Weaver in 1989 and George Weaver in 1998.  She is survived by several cousins, all living in Canada; her church and volunteer families; by her good friend, Bill Dohm and many other friends in the Petoskey area.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Petoskey.  Interment will take place later at St. Peter Cemetery, Cobourg, Ontario.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church or to McLaren Hospice in Petoskey.
