Jeffrey James Bourdlaies, 43 of Gaylord, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 in Traverse City.

Born in Bay City, Michigan on July 19, 1978, Jeff is the son of James and Carole (Rueff) Bourdlaies.  He attended Bangor Township Schools before moving with his family to Gaylord in 1992, and graduated from Gaylord High School in 1998.

Jeff attended the University of Northwestern Ohio where he received training as a diesel technician.  He worked at Royal Truck and Trailer Sales and Service in Gaylord.

Jeff has been with his wife, Barbara, for over 20 years, just recently celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary.  They welcomed their son, Russell, who is the light of Jeff’s life, in 2012.  They have made Gaylord their home.  .

In his spare time, Jeff could often be found fishing, woodworking and target shooting.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara and his son, Russell of Gaylord; his parents, Jim and Carole of Gaylord; brothers, Robert (Dana) of Kawkawlin and David (Stefanie Schmidt) of Gaylord; a niece and a nephew; and his mother-in-law, Donna Stubenvoll of Gaylord.

A memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM.

Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in Jeff’s memory to his family to assist with Russell’s education.
